Paul Guidera in residency at the Rozynski Art Centre

A warm thank you to the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, whose support made this residency possible.

Having been part of the 2019 and 2021 editions of Céramystic and Centre de Céramique Bonsecours' residency program for recent graduates in 2019, ceramicist Paul Guidera will be back at the Rozynski Art Center in January 2022. This time, the artist will carry out a research and creation residency supported by the CALQ in preparation for his first solo exhibition.

During his residency, Guidera will make use of equipment available at the centre to allow him to produce larger pieces, thus giving new momentum to his status as an emerging artist. He will give form to the gentle creatures that populate the figurative universe of his utilitarian ceramic collection. In addition, Guidera plans to take full advantage of the integrated workspace to devote himself entirely to his project.

Guidera considers working away from the city and in an inspiring space as an opportunity to expand his research. The artist will use the guidance and expertise of the technician and the support of the administrative team of the centre as guides in his production.

Stay tuned, because an exhibition in partnership with the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours will take place in which the work that Guidera will produce during the residency at the Rozynski Art Centre will take place.
