5-week Intro to Throwing

Do you like to get your hands dirty? Are you interested in ceramics? Come create a small collection of works! Join us for a course designed to introduce you to the basics of the pottery wheel. Over 6 weeks, you'll learn wedging, centering, throwing and trimming techniques. You will have the opportunity to create several pieces, which will be fired by the Rozynski team within three weeks of the end of the course. The course is limited to groups of 10, guaranteeing personalized accompaniment.

Whether you're a beginner or want to perfect your skills, this course offers a comprehensive and practical introduction to ceramics on the wheel.

The cost of the workshop includes one bag of clay per participant, as well as the firing and glazing of the pieces.

Instructor Bio

Michèle Lavallée holds degrees in industrial design and ceramics (DEC, Centre de céramique Bonsecours 2020). In her Eastman studio, she creates and experiments, striking a balance between the functionality of her pieces and her need for self-expression as an artisan. Under the name Art & Argile, her work focuses mainly on tableware, where she pays homage to nature, a recurring theme in her creations. Through her work, Michèle hopes to inspire positive emotions in people's lives, which for her are a great source of nourishment and motivation.
